Director General of ICA Meets with Persons with Special Needs and Announces a Dedicated Office for Their Services

The Director General of the Somalia Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA), Mr. Mustafe Sheikh Cali Dhuxulow, held a special meeting today with persons with special needs to listen to their concerns and strengthen efforts to improve their access to immigration and citizenship services.

The meeting, held at ICA’s Headquarters, was attended by representatives of advocacy organizations, religious scholars, and other distinguished guests. Discussions focused on challenges faced by persons with special needs when accessing immigration and citizenship services.

Advocacy groups and their representatives expressed their gratitude for the meeting and welcomed the initiative. They appreciated the Director General’s invitation to ICA’s headquarters, which allowed them to directly share their challenges and perspectives on the agency’s services.

In his closing remarks, the Director General reaffirmed ICA’s commitment to ensuring equal access to services for all citizens, regardless of their special needs. He also announced the establishment of a dedicated office to serve persons with disabilities and the creation of a joint advisory committee to guide its implementation. This initiative aims to make immigration and citizenship services more inclusive and accessible to all.
